Things are looking quite different for Lindsay Lohan these days. She’s been described as a fashion icon which is a far cry from the girl who had 3 rehab stints by 23 caught walking home with her feet covered in a mysterious powder in 2010. After a decade away from the spotlight and hiding out in Dubai, getting married and having a child, she’s now starring in the sequel to the 2003 film that solidified her as a leading actress, Freaky Friday, this time with Freakier Friday, once more alongside Jamie Lee Curtis who has now described her as being her “ultimate movie daughter.”
In a recent Instagram post, Curtis wrote “The last FRIDAY of this FREAKIEST FRIDAY or shall I call it CRYDAY. We still have a couple days left next week, but it’s winding down and this morning as I arrived at work and looked at the hundreds of people gathering together to make it for the fans, shooting the movie in California, I’m feeling especially grateful to my ULTIMATE movie daughter, @lindsaylohan without whom we could not have made this movie. Ever.” She added, “She gifted me a @suziekondi shirt after I complimented her on hers and I wore it today in honor of her. Off to wig and work. Thanks for all the @disneyd23 LOVE! It was LEGENDARY!”
The two stars who we’ve also nicknamed CurtLo have also appeared together at Disney’s D23 fan event in Anaheim, CA where Lohan was described by Page Six as giving off “goddess vibes” in her lime Jill Sander gown. In an event purposed for introducing the network’s newest film lineup, Curtis and Lohan announced Freakier Friday for a 2025 release in front of an audience of 12,000. “It’s more fun, it’s more emotional, and it’s all for you guys,” Lohan told the audience. “Seriously, the only reason we are back here doing this because of your love. That is why.” Curtis said “It feels like picking up where we left off, which is really beautiful.”
Another pleasant surprise from CurtLo is a recent video the two did together participating in the “demure” trend. Lohan said “Straight hair. Very demure,” followed by Curtis with “wearing a seatbelt. Very mindful.” Lohan has been known for anything but being demure for close to the last 20 years so this is quite the 180 which makes the irony all that more entertaining. We’re just glad to see Lohan back and we can’t wait to hear how this movie goes. Lohan might have had a rough number of years behind her but when she hits, Goddamnit, she hits. And if Jamie Lee Curtis thinks she’s doing great, it’s a wrap.
