Lori Loughlin really put her daughter, Olivia Jade, in a peculiar position with this college cheating scandal, paying a half million dollars to get her child into school. It’s made her become enemy number 1 in the country and the poster child for selfishness and glut. And because of that outrage and backlash she’s been facing, she’s moved out of her mother’s Bel-Air mansion.
“Olivia is doing well. What’s going on with her parents is still upsetting to her, but she is also trying to focus on her own life as well,” a source told People Magazine. “Her parents still face a lot of media attention. There is paparazzi at the family house every day. It’s very stressful for everyone. Olivia has decided to move out for now. She doesn’t want to be followed when she leaves her home.”
In the process of it all she’s lost a ton of endorsements, is trying to rebuild her brand and is looking to her friends to do so. “She wants to focus on rebuilding her business,” the source said. “She spends time with friends and other vloggers that inspire her.”
She was spotted out at IKEA this past Friday with her boyfriend Jackson Guthy picking up items for her new place. Dressed unsuspectingly in a tube top and sweats, she still wasn’t able to evade the paparazzi. There’s still the issue though of what she knew and when did she know it. The bribe included making Olivia a USC crew team member despite not being a crew member. Her mother even had her pose on rowing machines to say they were in the LA Marina Club team which does not exist. One would think at some point in the admissions process she would be asked about her time in this Marina Club which means her mother would have had to have at least briefed her on the lie. If this is so, we can expect an indictment coming with her name on it. And what is her mother’s explanation for all of this? She says she didn’t know that the money she paid would be going to bribery. For someone who didn’t spend anymore than say 12 seconds on this, that might sound plausible, but just what did she think $500,000 would be going towards in a process that takes applications if not to operate as a bribe?
