Madonna’s 18 year old son David Banda shocked fans of the Material Girl singer when David shared on Instagram Live about his life after moving out of her home. “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging. It’s fun to be young.” This was in response to a fan asking what it was like living on his own. He went on to say he’s not alone and living with his girlfriend Maria Atuesta adding “I love it.”
While it might be head scratching to hear a child of Madonna’s talking about struggling on her own but perhaps he wants to try out a normal life. He hasn’t expressed any signs of resentment towards his mother or spoken about being cut off in any form. In fact, the two were inseparable last year when she was in the ICU for a bacterial infection. Madonna years ago spoke about only playing DVDs at home and not television so that she didn’t have negative outside influences in her home, so maybe David wants to experience the things he’s been shielded from. She has yet to respond to his view or requests for comment and oddly there hasn’t been any celebrity commentary about her child’s new found life.
If Joan Rivers were still alive she would have probably said her son was doing no better than when he was adopted from the Malawi orphanage she found him in. We’d love to hear Ozzie Osbourne’s thoughts. Just this week he got clapped back at by Britney Spears when he said how sad it was to see her dancing everyday on her Instagram page. He’d probably talk about how Madonna auditioned for a song with him in 1983 where he didn’t use her vocals and would say this is why he didn’t, because he knew she was a sh** person. Okay, maybe we’re instigating just a little bit. We’ll be reporting any updates that come out of this. But so far he seems to be enjoying his new life. We just hope he won’t be having any more issues in buying food. That’s the least his mother could be helping with.
