Britney Spears was just let out of an abusive 13 year Conservatorship that the world got to witness its dissolving play out front row. Someone that said they reached out for support was Mariah Carey. In an new interview with NME Magazine, she said about their friendship, “I’m not sure it’s an affinity,” but continued on saying, “I think everybody on this planet deserves to be free and what they did to her, what I saw, was horrific. So I reached out to her through a mutual friend because I wanted her to know: ‘Guess what? You’re not alone.'”

She also spoke about the time Prince reached out to her saying, “I remember when I was going through a lot of stuff years ago. Prince reached out to me and gave me a Bible and he talked to me for hours.” As for how that went, she said, “He’s an amazing person and he cared about the music business and the industry being so screwed up—which it is. You’ve got to be a giving person. It doesn’t matter whether they’re my best friend or whatever, I just felt like it was the right thing to do.”

In other Britney news, her man Sam Asghari was asked by paparazzi today what the two would be doing for Christmas and he said more than once, “baby making… a lot of baby making.” Being that the Conservatorship that barred them from having more children is over and she’s expressed interest in having another child, now’s about as good of a time as any, we’d say to go do it. We definitely wish Britney the best over the holidays with this new life of hers.
