Megan thee Stallion appeared on Jimmy Kimmell last night performing her hits Realer and Big Ole Freak. Dressed in her signature cowgirl attire and complimentary body glitter, the dream that is Megan did not disappoint. And we say dream because she knows how to sell just that. And as the first woman signed to her label 300 Entertainment alongside Young Thug, Fetty Wap, Shy Glizzy and under the arm of Kevin Liles, she’s doing a good job of representing for female rappers. During her performance, she started out showing a little female camaraderie saying to “Free JT,” referencing the 1/2 of City Girls currently behind bars for fraud but expected to be out early within the next 90 days.

She recently did an interview with Essence letting us know how to have a “Hot Girl Summer,” referencing her coined phrase and gave three points in order to do so. “You need to be confident. You need to be the life of the party and you need to be positive.” The last part is important because finishing the night in jail isn’t all that hot either. And it’s important to state that Megan’s more than a hyper sexualized character. She’s been holding “Hottie Beach Cleanups” using her platform to organize cleanups in places like the Santa Monica Pier and even having her own Cognac Queen Pageant with 2,000 applicants. Those are all notable endeavors for someone who just came out who would be expected to be more concerned about their career than helping others. But she’s doing all of this while still holding a high position among female rappers right out of the gate and this Kimmel performance proves why she’s running the Hot Girl Summer.
