Megan Thee Stallion appeared on CBS Mornings speaking to Gayle King about her upcoming court appearance involving her shooting incident with rapper Tory Lanez. She said that Lanez offered her and her friend hush money to not tell anyone. And she said it happened directly after he shot her. she told King, “He’s apologizing, like, ‘I’m so sorry. Please don’t tell nobody. I’ll give y’all a million dollars if y’all don’t say nothing. And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ Like, ‘Why are you offering me money right now?’ Help me. Like, and if you’re sorry, just help me.”

Now her longtime stylist Jonathan Wright confirmed these claims in an interview on The Beyond the Chair podcast Friday saying, “The n-gga DM’ed me!” he said when asked about Lanez allegedly trying to buy Megan’s silence. “I’m like, ‘Yo, you went the wrong way!’ He also says he recalls his initial reaction being him saying he was going to beat him up if he ever ran into Lanez. The n-gga DM’ed me!” he said when asked about Lanez allegedly trying to buy Megan’s silence. “I’m like, ‘Yo, you went the wrong way!’

In other Megan news, she’s working on a comedy series with Netflix loosely based on her life. Their head of comedy Tracey Pakosta told Deadline, “It’s very early stages. She came in and she pitched something loosely based on her life growing up, and we got very excited about it. We think she’s special.” Now we’re wondering if the shooting incident is going to be included. There really isn’t anything comedic in that, at least not from the standpoint she would tell it. Still one has to wonder.
