Michael B. Jordan has gone viral for something other than smashing Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey’s cakes to smithereens as Bossip would call it. A question was proposed on social media if he was the new Denzel Washington. That didn’t exactly go over well with the geneal public. I mean, Washington has over 4 decades of acting experience and plenty of fans he’s accumulated along the other way that feel differently. It’s the type of debate that would cause someon to join Twitter just to argue the point. I’ve known people to do this, by the way.
Well Jordan was seen leaving Catch restaurant in WeHo where he spoke to TMZ about his thoughts on the matter. He referred to Washington as his “mentor” and said it’s all love between the two. And that’s probably a smart thing to do considering the amount of people on social media who disagreed with the premise of the comparison to start. However, there’s many reasons to think so as he has been a leading man both that’s been causing women to swoon in recent years. He just hasn’t gotten the accolades for being a leading man. At least not yet, anyway.
And what spawned this debate was the trailer for the romantic film A Journal For Jordan hes starring in that came out this week. Lots of talk has been made about his body on social media by the way. He plays the role of Sergeant Charles Monroe King, a soldier deployed to Iraq who keeps a journal of love and advice for his infant son. And this is a perfect fit for Jordan as he said he considers himself a romantic type. Perhaps this will help him in the accolade department in catching up to Denzel who coincidentally is directing this film.
