Fresh off of being referred to as this generation’s Tupac by The Game, NBA Youngboy was just confirmed by his manager Alex Junnier to be going on tour with Quando Rondo. “Shit, the tour is ready,” Junnier says in the Instagram Live video with Youngboy’s Kacey Talk playing in the background. “We got 30 cities. Yeah, Dallas is on there. Houston on there, not first though! You guys know what stop is first. Nah, Jacksonville not on there. Yeah Philly … Chicago on there. Atlanta on there. Rondo on the tour, yup. South Carolina on there.”
And not only is this tour happening after Youngboy alluded to such over the summer in an interview with attorney Mohammed Gangat, but Chicago is going to be the first date. That is a direct shot at Lil Durk following their traded blows earlier this year when they released diss tracks against each other when Durk released AHH HA and Youngboy’s I Hate Youngboy. And even after releasing his last album, The Last Slimeto, Youngboy began selling merch with “Umm Hmm” on it, a play on Durk’s diss track AHH HA.
In the words of Khia Shamone, “Shekinaaaah!” While guaranteed to be a successful tour, as Youngboy was the third highest paid rapper in 2020, that first date in Chicago, we need to see footage of that, because that’s bold. We’ll be locked in to report on what happens.
