NBA Youngboy is the example of what happens when people let social media run their lives. It’s supposed to be a supplement to your life and in the case of a legitimate artist, it should be an extra tool to promote your career and remain in touch with fans. To go from the 90s with east coast/ west coast rap beefs and shoot outs, to see people losing it over Instagram posts is the lamest thing ever. That’s what’s going on with rapper NBA Youngboy.

For the last 3 years, the once collaborating artists of NBA Yougboy and Kodak Black have exchanged passive aggressive jabs at each other from misinterpreted lyrics to posting footage of burning each other’s merchandise. It’s been quite an uphill battle or downhill between these two, depending on how you look at it. Considering one of them is in prison, Kodak and is stirring the pot from behind bars and Youngboy’s wife is facing probably life in prison now, we’re going to say they’re currently in the downhill phase.

NBA Youngboy wiped his Instagram account clean and the first thing people thought was that it must’ve been some reaction to Kodak who’s been behind bars accusing him of snitching on him and fully cooperating with the feds. (Yes, he’s on Instagram talking sh** from behind bars.) But Youngboy came back and said that wasn’t the case.

“You know why I deleted my pictures off my page?” He asked. “Women tryna incriminate me,” he added while struggling to pronounce ‘incriminate.’ Surely, that moment will spark yet another meme-worthy moment on the Internet. He continued to explain that people have posted things of him that portray him in an unflattering light. “That shit be playin’ mind games with me. Or I be playin’ mind games with myself ’cause I be letting it eat me up,” he added.

Look. If you’re not doing anything, you have nothing to worry about. There will always be people trying to string things together from pictures, tweets, etc. If you’re stopping your career narrative to get into fights over Instagram posts, because that’s what he’s doing by taking up a couple days of news with his IG drama, that’s watering down your brand. And considering his wife is already facing time for stabbing the mother of his child, what other drama could possibly top that?
