Ne-Yo chatted it up with TooFab where he talked about the possibility of having more children and said he was planning on having a vasectomy. Him and his wife Crystal Smith had both agreed they were done having children but she said nope, no vasectomy. And to be clear, his exact words were that she “decided that she doesn’t want any more children, and I’m following her lead on that.” Now this is important because you may remember, for years he was accused of forcing his ex to have her tubes tied so she couldn’t get pregnant and then left her. They’ve both since discredited said rumor.
Now back to the vasectomy, he said “No, no , no — not getting the surgery. Now mind you… my plan was to get the surgery, but she was like, ‘No, no, no, don’t get the surgery because if we ever decide we do want any more kids then we can’t do it. I’m like, ‘You just said you didn’t want more kids?’ And she was like ‘I don’t want no more kids right now, but what if I want some…’ I’m like, ‘Oh.’” He went on to say, “So this last one is the plan, and then if God decides he wants us to have some more, I guess we’ll have some more.”
Well one thing is for sure, this situation certainly isn’t the norm. You don’t usually have the man pushing to get a vasectomy against the advice of his wife so for that he should consider himself lucky. Then again, they literally just announced being pregnant with another child so it just might be her hormones.
