Nene Leakes left finishing Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta sitting through the reunion very much giving Marshawn Lynch “I’m just here so I won’t get fined vibes” with no concern about the feelings about anyone else on the couch. One by one, everyone stated their issues they had with her and she very politely smiled and let them know that it was unfortunate but she didn’t care. After proceeding to unfollow most of the cast, it didn’t appear that we would ever see her back on the show again. She even tweeted #HappinessOverEverything and #GoodbyeForever. Multiple times she’s tried to leave, only to come right back, especially after her time on the show The New Normal, which only lasted for one season.
Anyway, the rumors that Nene was either punished for her behavior snatching up a RHOA cameraman ripping his shirt and allegedly sending him to the hospital with a broken tooth either causing her to be fired or to sit out part of the show aren’t true… that is, at least according to her team. She didn’t make it to the first few tapings of the show because she’s been in contract negotiations, they say. Her first appearance will be her on a float with castmate Cynthia Bailey. Considering their last on camera interaction together involved cursing each other out over what appeared to be Cynthia sneaking Nene and Kenya Moore in the same room together orchestrating drama, this should be interesting to watch. Rumors have swirled that Nene will be making $3 million for the season to which Moore responded on The Real, “I’m not asking for enough then. I got a baby I need some money. I can’t say if that’s true or not it doesn’t sound true to me. But she is making that kind of money, then I would love her to cut that check for a school she promised.” She’ll also be joined with a new friend on the show to be in her corner as most of the cast agreed that they felt Nene was isolated during the last season. While the ladies on the Real Housewives might have their eyes set to pick fights with her, she’s got some other business ventures to keep her busy and not as fixated on them and that is the opening of her third store in Oxon Hill, Maryland at the MGM Grand Casino. She recently became the second woman to open a shop there behind Sarah Jessica Parker and the first black woman. This is her second Swagg Boutique. She also has a Swaggalicious boutique in Miami. Opening last month to long lines there to see her proves that Nene has been consistent in her endeavors outside of the Real Housewives and so long as she remains focused, she won’t allow any of the women to get to her or have the potential of her getting physical (again) like the voluntile Porsha Williams. She just announced her husband Gregg Leakes is now cancer free so Nene has plenty to be happy about these days than to allow herself to be dragged into emotionally upsetting drama. Just realize forced situations for what they are, as that is all reality television is and act accordingly.
