NeNe Leakes has been going back and forth about whether she wants to be on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anymore dating back to her going to LA for acting in 2012 and seemingly not being that interested in being in Atlanta ever since. She was rumored to have been let go of the show earlier this year and slammed her laptop walking off from the last reunion, but it looks like we may finally have some insight of what’s going on with Leakes.

Orange County Housewives star Tamra Judge made an Instagram post celebrating all of the Housewives who have moved on from the show or where rumored to do so with a picture of Dorinda Medley captioned with “@dorindamedley you will be missed icon, but it’s pretty amazing on the other side #Vicki #Tamra #leeann #Nene? #LVP #Bethenny #dorinda gone but never forgotten.” Fans immediately noticed Leakes’ name and were quick to point out that she hadn’t publicly addressed or status with the show.

Judge then removed the caption and changed it to just address Medley but the damage was done. Leakes then deleted her Instagram account without warning, followed by one of her famous subliminal tweets saying, “I have protected everyone for years and covered up things I shouldn’t have! I took the beating so others didn’t have too and no one has protected me or stood up for me. Y’all have gone silent and turned the other cheek. You are NOT exempted from getting this same treatment 1 day.”

Reported to be on the show for Season 13 are some new castmembers to include actress actress Drew Sidora who played T-Boz in the TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool, Youtuber LaToya Ali known as LaToya Forever. As for other castmembers’ thoughts on the whole ordeal, Cynthia Bailey says she hasn’t spoken to Leakes. “I haven’t seen her. I know she’s dealing with some contract stuff,” she told US Magazine Monday, adding “That’s not my business. I hope they work all that out.”

Bailey went on to say about Leakes, “I always will say, whether we’re besties or not, she’s great for the show,” while promoting the Seagram’s Escapes Peach Bellini flavor wine she created. “She’s been around … since the beginning of the show, and she’s good TV, and I hope they work through it. And, you know, Bravo’s always publicly said, ‘She always has a home here.’ They’ve always been supportive of whatever she wanted.”

During a February appearance on The Talk, Leakes said about her future with the franchise, “Every season when the show ends, what me and my team do is we get together and we talk about what’s best for me. So hopefully Real Housewives is best for me. I don’t know.”

Over the summer, Leakes’ manager Steven Grossman released a statement to US Magazine about his client’s future saying, “It is absolutely not true that NeNe has been fired from RHOA. Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be. We are having ongoing bigger picture conversations with NBCUniversal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate. Bloop.”

You all may remember all of the issues that Mariah Huq said she was having with Bravo during an interview she had with The Jasmine Brand a few weeks ago. The show that she essentially created, pitched and took to Bravo saw what she described as bullying and attempts to oust her from her own project. Both women seem to have these behind the scenes production issues where they both appeared to be showing up on set with “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” attitudes. With both being the show stars and in Huq’s case being the brains behind Married to Medicine, we are keeping our fingers crossed for her to have opportunities where she will have more creative control. And the same goes for Leakes who has insinuated Bravo has kept her from advancing within the network. For now, we will see how the cast lineup for Season 13 gets announced.
