NeNe Leakes revealed to The Jasmind Brand that her husband Gregg’s cancer has returned. “He’s been in the hospital for a week, tomorrow,” she told the blogger about Gregg who’s previously been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. “I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery.” She went on to say this was the first time she revealed his condition saying “It’s difficult,” and that this time he was “different.”
“He’s super small,” she said. “If you’ve ever been around somebody who’s had cancer before, he’s different. He’s different.” This marks 3 years since she first spoke about his health in 2018 when fans began to turn on her when she said his insufferable behavior while sick made her want to divorce him… while he was sick with cancer.

“It’s very, very hard to be a caretaker,” she previously told PEOPLE. “People call and they say, ‘How’s Gregg doing?’ and I want to throw the phone and say, ‘How the f- am I doing? I’m going crazy over here, Gregg is wearing me out!’ I am not good at this s-! I would rather hire somebody. Gregg doesn’t wants me to hire somebody, but I’m just not good. I’m not good at fluffing the pillow; I’m good at buying the pillow.”
Gregg did eventually apologize to his wife in 2019 about his behavior saying, “I’m tired of hurting my wife who is only trying to take good care of me and wants only the best for me too. She deserves much more for her hard efforts and tireless hours spent on me,” he said. “I pray to God to get it together… she’s done NO wrong… this is ALL on me. Cancer will change your life,” he said.
It was May of 2019 when she shared that Gregg was cancer free saying, “We are over joyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s PET Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for It…..WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! Yes God!”
We’re offering our prayers up to the Leakes family. We know that NeNe is a busy woman with her multiple boutiques and the lounge she just opened in Atlanta. At least she doesn’t have being on a reality show to make things worse for her.. although we’re not sure how true that is as some have rumored she’ll be reyturning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. If she does that we’ll be able to get a closer look at how Gregg is doing. Until then, prayers up.
