Throughout this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, the drama between Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore has been brewing to such heights involving crying, alleged spitting, near fights, etc. that it’s easy to get lost in the fight itself without giving a thought as to how it started. Come to think of it, it’s been going on for so long, we don’t even know if anyone even remembers what it’s about. We don’t even know if they know what they’re fighting about. Before bursting into tears, Moore said it stems from her seeing confessional footage of Leakes seeing her pregnant and calling her baby a buffalo.
Leakes has said that she was referring to Moore as a buffalo, referring to her size and not her baby, but offered to apologize anyway. Looking at the whole thing, it comes across as awfully petty and almost for no reason. Well Leakes has a theory of what she thinks this is about. In an episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta’s After Show, Marlo Hampton told Leakes, “There’s just something with you two.” Leakes on the other hand said, “There’s nothing with us.” But she did go on to say, “She want[s] me and her to be me and Kim Zolciak because that’s what we used to be. I know in her head, she’s like ‘Me and NeNe will be the new Kim and NeNe,’ right? That’s in her head. She thinks every situation through. It’s not that serious because I would never talk about her baby.” Marlo added, “absolutely.”
Then as if the apology given to Moore wasn’t good enough with the two willing to let bygones be bygones, Leakes had to go bringing it up again double downing with “She was the size of a buffalo. I actually used the wrong words.” Marlo added, “She was huge.” Leakes replied, “Yeah. She’s the size of a buffalo.” Marlo told her, “That’s what you should have said.” So that makes ugly weight remarks Leakes made about both Moore and Porsha Williams, another cast member she called all types of fat names in the past. One would think as the biggest person on the cast she would be sensitive about calling other people big. Remember when Jason Lee of HollywoodUnlocked called Tyra Banks fat yesterday when he isn’t that small himself. Hurt people hurt people and that’s all we can say about that.
In other Moore news, she might have split from hubby Marc Daly, but she’s not quite divorced just yet. Still she doesn’t want to spend anymore time around him than necessary. “I don’t want him to stay here,” she said in a preview of next week’s episode. “It’s just a lot of things I felt I was in the dark about. I just don’t know how to even make the visitation work,” she’s seeing talking about where their relationship currently is and the stress it’s caused her.
And let’s not forget how Leakes has said her marriage falling apart was karma for what all she’s said about other women. For now the reunion taping has been postponed but you had better believe Moore will be letting these women have it for any type of side remarks made about her husband, especially Leakes.
