Media mogul Nick Cannon just had his 7th child with model Alyssa Scott, a boy named Zen S. Cannon. Their son was born on June 23rd but news of his birth didn’t come until Saturday, July 3rd when both Scott and Cannon shared the child’s picture on Instagram. This comes just days after he had twins with ex Abby De La Rosa. And that of course is his second set of twins as he has 10 year old twins with ex-wife .

Cannon had R&B singer and actor Tyrese on his Power 106 radio show last week for a segment that involved Cannon asking Tyrese for advice. Tyrese told him, “At this point, I don’t think condoms are even sold in your community. So I’m just wondering, what little, small hick town do you live in that don’t (sic) sell condoms on the corner store or gas station, or whatever,” Tyrese jokingly asked. “I just don’t quite understand. I mean, I’m literally every other week as I live, as we all do, on the Gram. I’m just like, ‘Nick. I don’t understand what’s happening.’”

Nick responded with a joke of his own saying, “Open that book up right next to you to Genesis 15 where it says to be fruitful and multiply,” Nick told Tyrese. “And then you can turn a couple [of] chapters over to Proverbs [and see] what Solomon wrote, I keep dropping them in multiples,” referencing the two sets of twins he has.
When Cannon was with Mariah Carey, he was being described as a simp and called Mr. Mariah Carey. Knowing Cannon and his ego, it was pretty clear how this was going to end. The second they had a divorce, he went out and became the biggest heaux possible. And I hate saying that because I initially took up for his multiple, err, scores, um, little league team he’s been working on creating. And that’s only because these topics tend to lend themselves to people using racist tropes to describe black people but as Tyrese said, man at this point, what is really going on? Nick hasn’t had a player image since the early 2000s.
In recent years Cannon had multiple times he would bring up famous women he was with and he would sort of get laughed at for doing it. It really looks as though he spent the last 5 years trying to reclaim that image. As successful and good looking as he is, this comes across as a story of a man with a fragile ego that he’s out overcompensating for. He has 7 kids now and at the very least, hopefully he will do his part in making sure they’re all taken care of. That is the least he can do.
