Cleveland Browns player Odell Beckham, Jr has an open warrant for his arrest for slapping a police officer on the butt. Now we know what you’re thinking… football players do that all the time, so isn’t that a little overboard? That would be true if it was done in jest. Well LSU had just won a championship and he was in the locker room taunting a police officer. He slapped the hell out of the officer on the a** and then got in his face taunting him afterwards. Given that this was all done in clear view of a camera, there’s no denying it and the officer’s clearly not playing with him regarding seeking punishment.

A Browns spokesperson made a statement about the event saying, “We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation.” But that’s not the only law he broke that day. College football athletes are forbidden from making outside income while playing for their sports teams. Personally, I think that is absolutely ridiculous, but that’s the rule. Everyone knows this rule. They’re not allowed to accept money either. But you can’t tell that to Beckham. He was caught on camera passing out cash to the team. Then he claimed the money was fake. LSU spokesperson Bonnette weighed in on this new revelation.

“Information and footage reviewed since shows apparent cash may have also been given to LSU student-athletes,” Bonnette said in the statement. “We were in contact with the NCAA and the SEC immediately upon learning of this situation in which some of our student-athletes may have been placed in a compromising position. We are working with our student-athletes, the NCAA and the SEC in order to rectify the situation.” Former LSU player Darry Beckwith feels it’s all a misunderstanding, saying, “He wasn’t thinking at all. Again, this is something I think he has to learn from, and he will learn from it.” Well we’re going to see about that. We’re only a couple weeks into the year and Beckham is already on level 10. He needs to pipe it down before he finds himself banned from his former school’s events and in jail.
