Quavo just got hit with a hefty fine passed down from a Vegas jury where he now has to pay a valet driver he slapped in 2018 at the Encore Hotel and Casino. And it all occurred over the group being asked to move their vehicles to make way for an ambulance. The amount, $682,000 to be exact is for compensatory and punitive damages for the man’s physical and emotional injuries. Quavo, whose real name is
Quavious Keyate Marshall, was represented by lawyers who said the valet driver was searching for a “hip-hop lotto ticket” and not really injured. And while no one was arrested following the incident, Quavo and his entire entourage were kicked out of the hotel after the violent clash.
Meanwhile, on a brighter note, Quavo and Offset had the chance to bond recently over the passing of Rich Homie Quan. While the two have had a strained relationship in recent years where Quavo has felt disloyalty from Offset and the passing of TakeOff seemingly only made things worse, the two found common ground with the death of Rich Homie Quan on September 5th. Quavo posted a series of photos to his Instagram Story of Migos with Rich Homie Quan, followed up with some positive news, saying “Good convo with my bro @offsetyrn [link emoji] [praying hands emoji].” He should also consider himself lucky that his slapping incident didn’t land him in the ground along with TakeOff and Rich Homie Quan.
