DaBaby just released his second album which ironically is only 6 months after his first and has immediately gone to Number One. He was just seen out in Washington, DC for Howard’s Homecoming dancing in the street to celebrate. He’s currently Billboard Magazine’s cover star this week and sat down with them to play “Fishing for Answers,” where he reached into a fishbowl to pick 5 questions to answer. Out of the questions chosen, he picked what his favorite Lil Wayne song is which is Best Rapper Alive. For an artist who wore a body suit to make himself look bigger to portray Suge Knight at the BET Awards as his introduction to the world on an award stage, he has quite an ego and it would be understandable why that’s the Wayne song he likes the most.

He was asked which tour stop he likes the most and he said “Oh, that’s a hard one. Philadelphia. I think.” I chuckled because I swear it’s hard to think of Philly without thinking of the viral hot mess crack addicted Philly trans star known as Samantha James. Forgive me, Lord. His favorite wrestler was next and he gave the only appropriate answer for someone his age. Quoting his song Pop Star, He said “Any ’90s baby, The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin had to be your favorite wrestler,” he adds. “But everybody like The Rock.”

Then he spoke on the background of his album Kirk, which debuted at the top of the charts. He said his inspiration for the project was “the legacy that just had to be left with it.”

“It’s about me and my DNA,” he continues. “My upbringing. What I know, what I don’t know, what I wish to learn, what knowledge I wish to seek, what knowledge I already received, what I’ve turned into with that knowledge.” And as for what artist he said he wants to, he said no other than Megan Thee Stallion. “She talk shit like I talk shit, and I’m a hot boy,” he explains. “Been a hot boy. So yeah, we’d burn that bitch down.” DaBaby’s already appeared on Megan’s latest album and they’re two of the biggest names in hiphop now. How could a collab like that not be major?
