About a day after Cardi B’s husband Offset narrowly escaped bullets coming in the window of a recording studio he was in in Atlanta, two of rapper Young Thug’s tour buses were showered with bullets in Miami. They were traveling on I-95 around 6am this morning when it occurred leaving 2 men to be hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, neither of which were Young Thug. He was driving a Ferrari beside the buses at the time but no bullets were aimed at his car. Young Thug and his team were leaving LIV Nightclub Thursday night before the attack headed to the Miami Beach Hotel and are scheduled to perform again Saturday at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami. And this isn’t his first time having his bus targeted. Back in 2015 he said “F*** Trey Songz” on tour and a bunch of goons in Virginia surrounded his tour bus. They clearly weren’t very amused. Stay safe, Thug.
There is a little irony with this attack considering how he was tied to the 2015 shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus, a case that has yet to be solved. Earlier this month he weighed in on a longstanding beef between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly which had been memorialized in a documentary. In a video on his Instagram, he spoke on who he felt won the beef or in his words, “murdered” the other. He basically said Machine Gun Kelly murdered Eminem. Now the problem with talking about murdering people or people getting murdered is that that energy sometimes comes back to get people. We’re not saying that’s what happened to his tour bus, but it’s something to think about. When the last season of Love & Hip Hop New York began, it started off talking about how Safaree made a song about what he was going to do if people tried to rob him in his music and that’s exactly what happened. He ended up getting robbed. Then he made the dumb mistake of going out and buying everything he had stolen all over again to put it all right back on. (Some people never learn.) We just want him to stay safe and try not to draw any unnecessary and dangerous attention to himself because it obviously affects people around him.
