She’s said in a 2023 interview with Byrdie how she makes sure she sets boundaries regarding her self-care despite her hectic schedule. “With the position I’m in right now, I have to work hard and make some sacrifices. So, boundaries are important,” she said. “I can do a bunch of interviews, but when I’m down to three or four hours of sleep, I have to [carve out some self-care time]. Creating a balance when working hard and going after all these amazing opportunities is essential. You have to be cognizant of your mental health, get enough sleep, drink enough water, and eat the right foods.”
And at 44 years young, Ashanti has had a full career to be proud of. She’s two years into having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she’s a Grammy award winner, has almost 10 Billboard awards, been in nearly a dozen films and her legacy is living on with her newborn that she just had with husband Nelly. And their relationship is one of circling the block actually being a good thing because they got back together and got married last year after about a decade apart. Ashanti is in her prime as she seemlesly transitions from music to acting to entrepreneurship as a label owner with artists signed underneath her and her ability to continue to make herself marketable and keeping up with young fans as well as her day ones.
