The Real Housewives of Atlanta had its lowest reunion viewership in the history of the show this past season. The same went for the season opener and finale. The Season 13 opener was 489,000 less viewers than that of the previous one. Sources close to the show have stated that a major cast shakeup is expected for the next season to remedy this.
One person that could likely be expected to return is Kenya Moore who was the center of a lot of the drama on the last season taking Strippergate and centering the show around that for multiple episodes. Without her there wouldn’t have been much of a season so we doubt she’ll be going anywhere.
One person who might not be returning is Kandi Burruss who is getting her 4th Bravo spin off about her restaurant and spoke to TheJasmineBrand about her thoughts on leaving the show. “You just contemplate, like, I don’t know, ‘When is your time?’ It’s not like it’s not like a definite answer, you know what I mean. It is stressful at times. It is a lot going on, you know, but I do love the fans. I love the support of the fans.”
Then there’s Porsha Williams who just announced getting engaged to the show’s newcomer Falynn Guobadia soon to be ex-husband. The two have only been dating for a month and are planning on getting married. It’s such a head exploding story, one that isn’t even clear if it’s real but it’s enough to undoubtedly get her back for another season.
Cynthia Bailey was just found to have unfollowed Williams on Instagram and simultaneously wished Guobadia a happy birthday. That pretty much is self-explanatory. This is such a divisive situation it really is hard to sit and watch someone do it, especially when it’s among your circle. How can a group of 5 people involve a divorce and one dating across that same group? The conflict to any other normal human being wouldn’t be seen as worth it.
While contracts for the show have not been given yet, at least one cast member is reported to be getting reduced to the role of being a “friend.” Also, a few new faces are said to be joining the show.
