It’s been some time since we last covered Kenya Moore and was excited to stumble across her being on Tamron Hall’s show this week talking about her journey to childbirth in her late 40s with her husband Marc Daly. While doing research on how Hall’s new show was doing since that was about her 6th episode, we saw another blog mention odd body language between Moore and her husband. we noticed the same but brushed it off as him being camera shy. Even Hall mentioned that he prefers to be in the background. But our excitement quickly turned into dismay today when Moore announced splitting from her husband of 2 years today.
A statement about the matter was provided to Entertainment Tonight saying, “It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
As for those ongoing circumstances, she’s probably referring to the fact that her husband lives in New York City running his restaurant business while she’s in Atlanta. We were hoping that she would at least consider a season on the Real Housewives of New York but they never seemed to agree on picking a city to live in and obviously, other issues.
Daly addressed their separation in his own statement to People Magazine saying, “I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”
Ouch. So that means they plan on suing gossipers making up false claims against them. Good for them. We know how much getting married and having a baby meant to Moore so this obviously has to be devastating. We wish the two the best and for fans of Kenya Moore, she will be back on the Real Housewives of Atlanta this year so stay tuned. You might get a chance to hear about some of her marital woes there.
