Eboni K. Williams is the first black castmember of The Real Housewives of New York and quite the successful woman which is why it comes as a surprise that her law license was suspended. She went on Instagram Live to address the situation followed by a statement saying she hasn’t “lived or practiced law in North Carolina since 2011” and “stopped paying the annual fees.” In other words the reason was administrative and not disciplinary. So there’s nothing salacious about her behavior to report on.
While on the show she’s been blamed for the dip in ratings for being “too preachy” about race. Her response to that on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live was “My answer is simply this. A — I’m a little bit of a preacher and I wear that as a badge of honor. And I’m a little bit of a teacher too.”
Her castmate Ramona Singer said she didn’t understand how she can discuss suffering when she herself is very successful. To that she said, “Ramona’s saying something that a lot of people who look at me feel, which is you talk about Black Lives Matter and you talk about black subordination of life, but I’m looking and I’m seeing a first-class existence.”
Now as for her law license, she’s described as an attorney on the Real Housewives. So if she returns for another season, what will her title be?
