Rihanna Said Stop Asking About Her Next Album because She’s “Trying to Save the World”

If Rihanna is anything, she’s in high demand. She came on the scene accused of gunning for Beyonce almost from day one and while she might not be on her level vocally, she definitely rivals her on the cool factor. With that being said, even during an Instagram Live video with her trying to be serious talking about how she’s helping with coronavirus efforts she’s still being asked about new music material.

At one point during her livestream she couldn’t avoid the obvious and just blurted out, “If one of y’all motherf**kers ask me about the album one more time when I’m tryna save the world, unlike y’all president….on sight.” Ouch. That sounded like a two for one read right there. Hopefully the president doesn’t respond because we know how he simply can’t help himself. While some might say her words were a little harsh, it’s okay. At least she’s trying to help and that’s important in and of itself. She explained she’s giving $5 million via her Clara Lionel Foundation and pledged another $1 million alongside Jay-Z and 50 Cent to help those affected in LA and New York. She’s also working to help those who are likely to experience increased levels of domestic violence.

Now as for that album, last month HollywoodLife was told that “Rihanna has over a hundred songs either fully recorded and produced, various beats and tons of lyrics and plenty of unfinished songs scattered around for consideration for her next album.” They went on to say, “It has been a struggle to get the right songs needed for a full and complete album to her liking and she knows that her fans are jonesing for more from her and now with the world as it is, it is putting all her focus to get new music out there quicker than she anticipated.” So calm down people, the album’s coming even though we forgot how many years we’ve been waiting. Let her save the world. It’s kind of a priority right now. Maybe she can buy us one day of getting out early if we’re lucky.
