Saweetie Announces a New Project to be Out in January

Rapper Saweetie was originally set to release her debut album Pretty Bitch Music this summer. It was June 25th to be exact. She told Big Tigger around the time that she’s a perfectionist which is why it’s being delayed. Now here we are with Christmas around the corner and no album yet. Instead of having it finished, she said she’s working on a whole different project.

In an interview with Gerrick Kennedy on Thursday, December 2nd, she said she’s releasing a 7 song pack to hold fans over until the project is finished. And this project will be out on January 7th. It’s going to be called Icy Season and it will serve as what she calls a “pretty bitch bible.”

Hopefully there won’t be anymore insurrections next year like January 6th of this year that might cause the holdover project delayed. We kid. But anything’s possible. Now if she’s putting this out to hold us over, that likely means we have months to wait for the actual album. Saweetie, we don’t want to wait a full year for this debut album of yours. There’s only but so much Saweetie McDonalds meals we can scarf down while waiting for you to decide to put this project out.

At least Saweetie got 2 Grammy nominations that can hold HER over while putting the finished touches on this album. She said Cher inspired her to make some changes to the album and then there’s her mother’s influence who she says doesn’t like hearing her curse. Either way, we’ll be waiting.
