Saweetie’s been making headlines after breaking up with Migos rapper Quavo but everyone’s been asking, who is Saweetie dating now? Well she answered the question on E!’s ‘Nightly Pop’ show with Love & Hip Hop host Nina Parker where she said she was busy dating “the pillows, the studio and putting more money into her bank account.” She went into more detail talking about how her time consuming relationships are and that she wanted to take time to get back to herself.

Keep in mind that Saweetie and Quavo were together for 3 years which is quite a long time for a 27 year old. And at this point in her career, she’s just getting hot whereas Quavo arguably could be said to have peaked in Migos. His name isn’t as hot as it was while with that group a few years ago. She is, however lending her voice to advocacy regarding stopping Asian hate.
Born of Filipino and Chinese descent, Saweetie told TMZ that the video of the elderly Asian woman attacked in NYC bothered her because it could have been her grandmother. She says she believes social media is opening people’s eyes to this problem. This Friday she’ll be performing alongside Jhene Aiko for the AAPI Heritage Month special, “See Us Unite for Change,” hosted by comedian Ken Jeong with appearances by Daniel Dae Kim and Lisa Ling.
It’s good to see Saweetie using her time for something productive versus say trying to be the black JLo in the dating world like Lori Harvey.
