Sharon Stone says she’s been offered a new show and now that is up in the air and might not happen because she refuses to show up until everyone on set is vaccinated. Sean Penn made similar demands a week ago and she praised him as doing “a good job” making the request. In her case, she says she might get cut over it. Now Stone is running to be on SAG-AFTRA’s board of directors over the issue talking about the COVID nightmare in one campaign video and also pointing out she lost her health insurance in another.
“I lost my vested insurance after 43 years in the business because of Covid. I was $13 short and, you know, I don’t really think that that is reasonable for any of us.” She says the Producers Guild of America should have made sure that everyone on set was vaccinated to protect actors and those that make these productions work.
Stone lost a lot of family members due to COVID. She lost her grandmother, sister and godmother all died in the pandemic and her sister’s husband got it but survived.
As for her campaign, she’s running alongside Matthew Modine and Joely Fisher who are running for president and treasurer.
