New Safe is today’s PopGlitz Song of the Day from rising pop star Jilly Anais. The Lil Rich produced song samples Too $hort’s Blowjob Betty which talks about having so much money that she needs a new safe to hold it all. Other work produced by Lil Rich include Bia, Machine Gun Kelly, DaBaby, Jazz Cartier and YG. She raps on the track, “I was calling the bank, told them I’m on the way/ Been a real good month, I need a whole new safe/ Be a real good n*gga, I’ll put this mmm in your face/ I just killed Saks Fifth, they gotta open a case.”
And the lyrics for the Sept. 2021 single aren’t exactly that far fetched. The 26 year old did a BET interview in 2019 talking about how she made 6 figures from Instagram pretty early on and has had a number of endorsement deals for some time now. Of course being on the arm of NFL player Deshaun Watson and Dejounte Murray before that don’t hurt, but she’s long been getting her own money. And she talks about the importance of saving money which is likely where that safe she talks about comes in handy.
