Soulja Boy performed at Trump’s pre-inauguration event, the Crypto ball this past Friday, Jan. 17th at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC. Also performing that night was Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross. And while Snoop simply reacted to his criticism by sharing a post from Ross that said, “Got a real Crip up in the Crypto Ball, bang bang,” Soulja Boy took a more hostile approach towards his fans and chose to lash out and at of all people, former president Barack Obama.
“They paid me a bag. Obama ain’t never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Kamala ain’t never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Trump put money in my pockets, n-gga.” He then went on to say, “Y’all suck my d-ck, n-gga. Y’all want me to not answer the phone for the f-cking president? This n-gga [is] the president of the motherf-cking United States. Trump wasn’t even there. It wasn’t even a Trump event. It was the Crypto Ball for crypto.”
Now there’s an elephant in the room about this. Chrisette Michelle performed at his inauguration in 2017 and the backlash was so bad she had a miscarriage and became suicidal. Times were different back then but just imagine if she responded by telling people to suck her d***, or cl** or what have you. She’d probably have her home surrounded afterwards. But the hell that she was put through to have these men perform and so far go unscathed deserves acknowledgement.
Other celebrities performing for Trump’s inauguration include Carrie Underwood performing America the Beautiful and Nelly performing at Trump’s Inaugural Liberty Ball Monday night.
