It’s Sunday and time for a little inspiration. We don’t cover enough gospel around here and we’re going to be changing that. With gas prices being what they are the word recession being toyed with we’re sure a little inspo’s needed. Our Sunday Inspiration for today is gospel artist Aric B’s song With Me. A song about crying out above with lyrics like “I ain’t never been perfect/ Cause lately everything I do is a move to impress them/ And I feel like I’m loosing/ Cause you’re the main/ You’re the main thing that I’m missing” and the chorus saying he just wants him to be “right here with me.”
This track appears on Aric’s recently released EP Diary of a Mad Saint. He’s described the project to GospelHydration.com, “Diary Of A Mad Saint by Aric B. is an honest, vulnerable, purely experiential survey of a Christian experience in the modern world. This work chronicles the singers personal but rocky relationship with God, Religion, and the Church. Each song is an emotional representation of joy, pain, fear, criticism, faith, and spiritual responsibility. It seeks to connect with folks who have experienced the highs and lows of religion, with a culminating message of encouragement and hope to keep the faith and remember the God is the center life.”
And being the son of the late Aric B Flemming, he released a film in 2019 about his life named BERNARD: The Rebirth with commentary from the likes of Jamal Bryant speaking about what greater of a preacher that he was that we’re watching now.
