It’s been some time since we watched a celeb shave their head and when they did, they were in the middle of one of Hollywood’s most publicized meltdowns in history. The year was 2007, the celeb was Britney Spears and the media has never salivated over a star since. So it would make sense that eyebrows raised and fingers began pointing when Tiffany Haddish went on the gram and decided to shave her head for all of the internet to see.
First she took scissors and cut her faux locks off and then went at it shaving the rest of her head with clippers. She explained to her followers, “I cut all my hair off cause I want to see my Scalp.” She added: “I know my whole body I know where every mole is but I don’t know my Scalp. So hello Scalp #SheReady to everything.”
Then when the Britney Spears comparisons started, she quickly shut that down saying, “Nothing is wrong with my brain, you guys. I’m not suffering from no emotional s**t, nothing. I’ve literally been talking about this for years.” And for the most important part, people forget that we’ve all been home for months and people have been doing their own hair which is a lot of work. I’m sure salons are open where she is now but at this point, she’s probably tired of doing it everyday. She even said as much.
“As a black woman — I don’t know about white women — but as a black woman, that’s a good hour to two-three hours of your f**king day. Even if your hair is braided, you gotta grease your scalp, you gotta tie ’em up at night, you gotta make sure they look neat, it’s a lot of work. So, I’m taking time off!” We’ll add that Michael Blackson commented saying she looked handsome. *Blank stare* But at the end of the day, if she doesn’t like it there are every type of a wig for her to wear. Lace fronts have been in for some time, so she’s alright. She’s still gorgeous and talented no matter what that walking shadow Michael Blackson says.
