Tisha Campbell’s near 3 year divorce proceedings have finally ended this Wednesday. The two have a pretty clean break with neither party getting spousal or child support from the other. Campbell who stated in an interview earlier this year that she left Martin her estranged husband  with only $7 to her name does get to keep a leased property and a 2020 leased BMW. Martin will be keeping a leased property and a few vehicles to include a 6 year old Bentley, BMW scooter, and a Kawasaki motorcycle.

As it pertains to Campbell and Martin’s child custody agreement, they both have joint legal and physical custody and are required to “treat each other with respect and civility” in front of their young son. Given how Campbell has previously accused Martin of being physically abusive with her since getting married in 96, it comes as no surprise the judge would ask them to cool it on the fighting.

“I was married for over 20 years and out of that I was blessed with two AMAZING kid. Beyond that, l’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” Campbell told People Magazine. Campbell dropped Martin’s last name from hers returning her name to Tisha Campbell, court documents showed.

Back in 2018 Campbell filed for divorce saying in a statement, “After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce.” The two had been separated since the day before Christmas in 2016 showing how long this process has been. “It’s been getting harder and harder for them for the last two years. But it just got to the breaking point recently,” a source told People Mag at the time. “It’s one of those things where they’ve been talking about it and fighting it out and trying to come to a conscious uncoupling.”

One of the challenges parents tend to have is whether to stay together for the children. A source close to the couple told People they “did consider conscious uncoupling and she was going to do that until the kids got a little bit older, but ultimately she decided to move forward with the divorce from him.”

In the list of things these two dealt with over the years include their 2016 bankruptcy and the $15 million in debts they both reportedly owed at the time. The two were also accused of hiding money during their divorce proceedings. With all of this that has been going on, splitting in spite of the age of the children was probably the best move
