It’s been some pregnancy for City Girls rapper Yung Miami, from having to hold the rap duo down while the other half, JT was in prison to being shot at while pregnant, but it’s all over now. She just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Thursday, October 17th with boyfriend, 808 Mafia producer and rapper Southside. Named Summer Miami she’s apparently going to keep that Florida love alive with her offspring. This makes Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee’s second child as she already has a son named Jai from a previous relationship. Southside has another child as well.
It wasn’t until June that Miami even decided to mention that she was pregnant. And it’s understandable because you want to make sure it’s a healthy pregnancy first. In a clip from the upcoming City Girls documentary, she told the camera, “I’ve been going back and forth to share this moment with my fans,” Yung Miami shared of her pregnancy. “But on MY TERMS! I want this journey to be nothing but positive going forward…”
In an interesting turn of events, Yung Miami’s truck was shot up around the same time that her rapper Kodak Black, who she had been briefly seeing last year said he would end her pregnancy. Now as a father of a newborn, one could expect some type of animosity still lingering towards him from Southside. And who could blame him? But that’s not the case. During an Instagram Live the other day, someone shouted out “Free Kodak,” and he responded that yes he should be freed. He went on to say he wouldn’t wish prison on his worst enemy. Good for him on being forgiving because not everyone could do that.
We wish congratulations to these two. They deserve it.
